The famous digital summit: Web Summit 2022

After two difficult years caused by the Covid-19 epidemic, the tech festival has recovered, with over 70,000 participants, 2,630 exhibiting startups and enterprises, 1,120 investors, and 1,040 speakers traveling to Lisbon from November 1-4. More companies and partners will be on the Web Summit floor than ever before, setting a new record. The startup program sold out four weeks before the event, with 2,300 businesses from over 100 nations participating. Our bespoke luxury magazine studied the event, so you can find out more about it below:

More than 100 unicorns will be among those attending the event to network and explore the future for entrepreneurs in an economic downturn. The United Kingdom, Portugal, Germany, the United States, and the Netherlands are among the nations with the most startups, with saas, AI and machine learning, ecommerce, fintech, and marketing among the most popular industries.

Speakers include executives from Apple, Microsoft, Google, Facebook, and Amazon, as well as hundreds of the world’s fastest growing companies.

Noam Chomsky, author and linguist, Signal president Meredith Whittaker, Y Combinator president Geoff Ralston, Airbnb co-founder Nathan Blecharczyk, and Yuga Labs CEO Nicole Muniz are among the 1,040 speakers who will forecast what the next few years will look like for society, the economy, and tech companies around the world, as well as discuss the next steps forward in this new era.

Among the partners presenting on the Web Summit floor are Google, Figma, Stripe, PitchBook, AWS, and Binance. The partnership display space filled out seven weeks before the event, with 330 partners coming – a roughly 40% increase over pre-pandemic statistics.

“By early 2021, it appeared that Web Summit would not survive the year.” We pulled together as a team and made it through 2021. “Over the previous 18 months, we’ve gone from near death in early 2021 to our best year ever in 2022,” says Paddy Cosgrave, founder and CEO of Web Summit.

To accommodate the 2,630 exhibitors, Web Summit 2022 will take up an area the size of 371 tennis courts at the Altice Arena and FIL pavilions, which is 25% more than the space utilized in 2021.
